Data Flow Visualizer

The Information We Actively Collect

We categorize data based on its role in our service. This isn't an exhaustive list of every potential data point—it's the focused set required to power Clickivo's core functions: delivering dynamic game experiences, analyzing engagement patterns, and ensuring platform stability.

Account & Authentication Data

When you create an account, we collect a unique identifier, a verified email address, and a hashed password. We do not store credit card details; all payments are processed through PCI-compliant third-party providers (Stripe, Google Play, Apple App Store).

This data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon deletion, the email address is anonymized, and the identifier is permanently purged from live systems within 30 days, with backups following a 90-day rotation.

Behavioral Data

  • • In-game event tracking (level completions, purchases)
  • • Session duration and frequency
  • • Feature usage patterns
  • • App version and device type (anonymized)

Technical Data

  • • Crash logs and error reports
  • • Performance metrics (FPS, load times)
  • • IP address (for security, not tracking)
  • • Carrier and country code (for content localization)

Data Processing & Common Pitfalls

We process data with a minimal & purpose-driven approach. The following flowchart outlines our decision process for any new data collection, followed by real-world failure modes we actively design against.

Our Data Processing Checklist

Is it essential for functionality? Can we anonymize it? Is retention defined? User can opt-out?

Failure Modes to Avoid

1. Shadow Tracking

Using invisible pixels or session stitching without explicit consent. Our fix: All tracking requires an opt-in banner with clear toggles.

2. Perpetual Data Hoarding

Storing raw logs indefinitely. Our fix: Aggregated metrics kept for 13 months; raw logs purged after 30 days.

3. Cross-Service Bundling

Merging data without user awareness. Our fix: Clear scopes (e.g., Gameplay Analytics vs. Marketing) with separate consent.

4. Vendor Blindness

Assuming third-party tools are compliant. Our fix: Vendor Data Processing Agreements (DPA) are mandatory and audited.

Constraints & What Would Change Our View

Current Assumptions

  • User privacy is a feature, not a compliance cost center.
  • Granular control reduces long-term liability and builds trust.
  • Transparency about data flow is more effective than technical opacity.

What Changes Our Mind

  • A regulatory ruling that conflicts with our current implementation.
  • A peer-reviewed study showing our anonymization is re-identifiable.
  • User feedback indicating our controls are unintuitive or ineffective.

Editorial Note: This policy is a living document. It will be reviewed quarterly and updated to reflect new legal frameworks (e.g., evolving EU AI Act guidance) or changes in our technical architecture. Major changes will be communicated via in-app notification and email.
